This course book, produced completely cradle-to-cradle, provides practical and actionable insights for policy-makers, industry leaders, and citizens on sustainable and ecological industry practices. Art direction and editorial design for the second issue of the magazine presented by BMW. Here, we take a closer look at what it really takes to create something new. We do this with stories from all around the world, featuring people and ideas that shape the world we live in, and help us imagine a better future, including Arnold Schwarzenegger, David Zilber, Fischersund, Keisei Kawahara, Mixanthropy and many more. Project done in collaboration with the team at The Game.
The issue also features a custom AR cover design, allowing us to add a whole new and immersive layer to our storytelling, beautifully taking the reader through changing perspectives as they first experience and interact with the magazine.

Featuring Hans Zimmer, Shudu, Nick Knight, Refik Anadol, Marie Aigner, Simon Dogger, Jeong Kwan and many others. Project in collaboration with the team at Looping Group.
With direction by Herburg Weiland, this series of illustrations were conceived for Euroboden and it's list of brand values – Vision, Passion, Collaboration and Contribution. Each value was thoroughly described and explained, within the context of the company and its history, in a very holistic and quasi-spiritual way. Inspired in architecture, archetypes and spirituality, a visual style was conceived to illustrate them – a faux corporate-memphis style.
Conceptulized while at Looping Group, the briefing was to develop an internal online and offline teaser campaign for BMW Group to promote a new benefit platform for its employees. Due to the lack of a corporate icon set at the time, it was decided to allude to the benefits with playful scribbled icons.
Magazine for the Büchergilde Gutenberg on Walter Benjamin and his "One-Way Street" (1928), conceptualized together with Vincent Leinweber. Inspired by Kurt Schwitter’s MERZ and other avant-garde literary publications of the 1920s and early 30s, it features tutors and the alumni of the Stuffed Birds MA program of the Hochschule Mainz and their own visions and deconstructions of Benjamin’s texts.
For ISOE, in collaboration with the HS Mainz – Together with Vincent Leinweber & Laura Reis, a multi-language campaign designed for migrant and precarious social groups was developed, advertising several sustainability and social associations in the Rhineland Palatinate called OECHO.
Re-design and illustrations for Walter Benjamin's "One-Way-Street" (1928). This is the result of the project commissioned by the Büchergilde Gutenberg and director Cosima Schneider to the students of the MA Gutenberg Intermedia of the Hochschule Mainz.
Product Catalogue for Extratapete. The magazine showcases the patterns and photographic motifs for buyers to decorate their homes and offices – sizes, dimensions and other technical information displayed in both German and English.
Identity for an independent theatre troupe in Barcelona. In Media Res translates to “In the middle of things”, and it’s a literary technique where the narrative begins at middle point. For the logo and based on classical mythological tales and symbolizing the hardship of cultural initiatives these days, we see a labyrinth where the middle is unreachable.
Commissioned set of illustrations for Rock-Paper Café, in permanent exhibition in the ground floor of the Aufbau Haus and Modulor store, printed glossy vinyl and applied on glass. The Rock-Paper-Scissors game we currently know today is a modern iteration of the ancient Sansukumi-Ken game, in which the shape of the hands represented a Slug, a Frog and a Snake. Sansukumi-ken was played exactly the same as Rock-Paper-Scissors.

In VOA, OVAL 's work suffered a drastic change, containing more analog elements such as acoustic drums and other real-life paraphernalia, thus deriving from his usual computer-generated act. The pencil-drawn asterisk becomes then the metaphor of this approach.
Series of posters and illustrations developed together with This is Pacífica for the accessories brand Qu’On, in collaboration with Daniela Barbeira. Each poster reflects a specific buyer profile, referencing a certain lifestyle, hobby or aesthetic. This project gathered a lot of attention from international specialized media and design conferences.
Folio is the online portfolio of João Telmo – a visual communicator, art director and graphic designer living and working between Munich, Berlin and Porto. Skills include graphic and editorial design, brand design, motion design and illustration. His modus operandi is specially geared for cultural, fashion and lifestyle environments within international agency structures.
